Our 3A grade is a USDA Organic certified culinary matcha sourced from Hangzhou, China. Designed for milk-based preparations, smoothies, baking, and everyday cooking where a strong, clear matcha character is needed at an accessible price.

What makes it a good culinary grade

Culinary grade matcha is made from slightly more mature leaves than ceremonial grade, giving it a stronger, more robust flavour that holds up well against milk, sweeteners, and other ingredients. In a latte or smoothie the milk balances the bitterness and delivers a clear, satisfying matcha flavour.

The colour is a solid, earthy green. It dissolves cleanly when whisked with warm water before adding cold milk.

How to prepare

Sift half to one teaspoon into a bowl or mug. Add 60 ml of warm water at 70 to 80 degrees Celsius and whisk until smooth. Pour over ice and cold milk for an iced latte, or add warm milk for a hot latte.

Storage

Keep sealed in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate after opening. Best within 4 to 6 weeks of opening.
